Honeymoon Mondays: Sydney, Australia

As the oldest and largest city in Australia, Sydney is undoubtedly the country’s most popular destination for visitors. Complete with breathtaking scenery, extensive entertainment options, and a diverse, welcoming culture, Sydney is also a celebrated honeymoon location. Its idyllic beaches, world-renowned wineries, and exceptional shopping and restaurant options allow Sydney honeymooners to experience a little of everything! Thank you to www.bigfoto.com for sharing these incredible images.

Places to See:

1. Sydney Opera House: Situated at Bennelong Point, the Sydney Opera House has become one of the city’s most identifiable landmarks. Thanks in part to its distinctive architectural design by Jorn Utzon, the Opera House is considered one of the city’s “must-sees” for any visitor. The Opera House offers a variety of entertainment options for honeymooners, from tours to films to orchestras…and, of course, plenty of perfect photo opportunities.

2. The Rocks: Just a short walk from the Opera House is a section of Sydney Cove known as The Rocks. Immensely popular due to its historical charm, plethora of shops and restaurants, and old-world hospitality, The Rocks should definitely make it onto any honeymooners’ Sydney destination list.

3. Sydney Harbour Bridge: Another architectural marvel making Sydney’s cityscape so remarkable is the Harbour Bridge. Completed in 1932, this amazing structure is the world’s widest long-span bridge and is the fifth-longest spanning-arch bridge in the world. For honeymooners in search of some adventure resulting in a stunning view, the bridge offers three-and-a-half-hour climbing tours to the summit of the bridge’s southern half.

4. The Beaches: For many honeymooners, very little appeals as much as relaxing on the beach. And there is no arguing that Sydney boasts some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Bondi, Coogee and Manly are among the most popular coastal beaches in Sydney. Whether you are seeking sun and relaxation or surfing and snorkeling, Sydney’s beaches make a perfect honeymoon destination.
