One of my all-time favorites cities is Denver, Colorado. In fact, I enjoy Denver so much that the city has made it on to my short list of possible destinations for my own wedding next year! With the inspiring vistas of the Rocky Mountains in the distance and so many wonderful things to do, Denver is also a hot honeymoon destination.
Things to Do:
1. Larimer Square: Known for its great restaurants, wine bars, coffee shops, and shopping, Larimer Square has much to offer honeymooners. This area is also in Denver’s historic district, presenting a charming snapshot of Denver’s culture.
2. Outdoor activities: Denver offers plenty of outdoor activities that honeymooners can enjoy together. From mountain biking to kayaking to hiking or snowboarding, the options are endless!
3. Red Rocks: Honeymooners in Denver should definitely head out to Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater. You can attend one of this venue’s concerts, or on weeknights during the summer, you can catch a local band followed by a classic movie. The park also offers historical exhibits and tours filled with interesting facts.
4. Fun places to eat: Since I have learned that many grooms are highly interested in the food offerings to be had at their honeymoon destinations, I thought I would mention some fun places to eat in Denver. One such option is Snooze, a great breakfast restaurant with the best pancakes. I recommend the pineapple upside-down or Reese’s Pieces pancakes.
Another option is Le Central, an affordable and quaint French restaurant with amazing food and wine prices. You can enjoy a French bottle of wine for under $20! And yet another great possibility is Root Down, a restaurant that serves all organic food that is among the most delicious you’ll ever taste.
