Real Wedding Wednesdays: Pamela and Benjamin at the Ocean Edge Resort and Golf Club

Today’s real wedding blog post spotlights Cape Cod, MA. Pamela and Benjamin’s intimate wedding took place this past August at a stunning site called the Ocean Edge Resort and Golf Club. The reception was held in a beautiful mansion built in the 1890′s.

I would love to extend a big thank you to Alicia Williams of Cordele Photography (www.cordelephotography.com) for these gorgeous images. Here is what the bride had to say about her special day:

Susan: How did you and Benjamin meet?
Pamela: We worked together for over two years at a music company in Boston, MA before we started dating.

Susan: How did he propose?
Pamela: He surprised me in the car! We were driving past a jewelry store, and I made a comment about it, and he pulled out the ring right then and there and asked me to marry him.

Susan: What was most memorable for you both on your wedding day?
Pamela: The beautiful sunshine and the rainbow in the sky as we said our vows. It had been raining every weekend leading up to our wedding, and we were so fortunate to have such a lovely day.

Susan: Was there anything that you considered particularly unique and/or personal to you for your wedding?
Pamela: We had only 25 guests at our wedding. We originally wanted to elope, but felt that there were some people we really wanted to share the event with. We had our parents, grandparents, siblings and a few of our closest friends as our guests.

It was such a special day because it was so unique to us. We are both musicians, and my good friend (Sarah Wilfong, of the country band Mustang Sally) composed us our own original piece of music to use for the ceremony, which she recorded for us in Nashville.

Ben and I are in a band together, and the singer in our band, Francesca Reggio, sang our first dance song, which was Stevie Wonder’s “You Are the Sunshine Of My Life.” The whole event was exactly as we wanted!
