Real Wedding Wednesdays: Michelle and Eric at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort

By Perfect Wedding Guide ‘National Wedding Expert’ Susan Southerland

Our story for today’s real wedding blog took place this past May at a very popular local venue, the beautiful Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort. My associate, Karen, had the pleasure of working with Michelle and Eric on their special day, and I asked her for some of the details that she found most notable. Please read on for Karen’s contribution to this wedding story, as well as the bride’s story about her experience.

Thank you to Ginger Midgett for these lovely images! Working alongside Karen and Ginger on this wedding were officiant Rev. Tim Herring, Special Event Floral , violinist Nancy Blue, and, of course, the spectacular catering team at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort!

Karen: Michelle was a highly organized bride and a real joy to work with. I thought the details she brought to her wedding were unique, personal and carefully thought out. She created her own bouquet as well as the bouquet for her bridesmaid. The fuchsia calla lilies and white accent floral turned out beautifully! She also carried an antique handkerchief around the base of the bouquet as a meaningful personal touch. Michelle had a distinct vision in mind for her big day, and it was a lot of fun helping her bring it together!

Rebecca + David: Simple Wedding Details at the Base of Mt. Hood (Oregon)

By PWG Vendor + Wedding Blog Contributor, Alice Falzone

What a gorgeous wedding day! It started off with ominous clouds, threatening rain. It never did rain, though; not only that, the sunshine came and glorious Mt Hood showed itself in all its glory! You may remember Rebecca & David from one of my earlier blog posts showing off their engagement photos from Hoyt Arboretum, in Portland. That day, they started off shy and not sure about how to be in front of the camera. The shoot evolved into the two of them hamming it up!

Thanks to their experience with us and cameras during their engagement session, their wedding photography was smooth and comfortable and they even told us they were having fun being the center of attention! We are so happy to have been chosen to be a part of their wedding day. Not only did we get the opportunity to return to one of our favorite wedding sites of all time (Mt Hood Organic Farms, run by the always lovely Brady), we also got the chance to witness two love birds uniting in marriage, witnessed by their fun and kind group of family members and friends.

The attention to detail that Rebecca put in her wedding was lovely. Flowers everywhere. Bright and colorful accents complimenting the lush and perfectly manicured grounds. A simple and memorable wedding day!
