Real Wedding Wednesdays: Elisabeth and Andy at the Doubletree Castle

In these weeks surrounding our Memorial Day weekend, I wanted to feature some weddings of our military brides and grooms in my real wedding blog. Our bride featured today is in the U.S. Navy and was married last July 4th at the mystical Doubletree Castle in downtown Orlando. Independence Day…quite an appropriate wedding date for a member of the military, wouldn’t you agree?

This couple’s special day was filled with contributions from friends and family members. Please read on for more details about this wedding, as shared by the bride, Elisabeth.

Susan: How did you and your spouse meet?
Elisabeth: We met playing an online video game (Everquest) in 2004. Here is the way we told our story when we set up a web page for our wedding: “Antonio and Elisabeth met near an enchanted forest; he was adventuring within Feathersong Forest remembering tales of dragons and untamed beasts living within, and she was being held captive by the menacing green dragon, IEATU. When all of a sudden, Antonio finds himself in a clearing surrounded by the Pointy Pyramids. In the center lay sleeping the largest green dragon in existence. Behind the dragon stood the most bewitching woman he had ever lay eyes on. When Elisabeth looked up and saw Antonio, she momentarily stopped breathing as she realized… her Knight in shining armor had arrived!”
