Wedding Photography: Meredith + Delane’s Stunning Outdoor Wedding Photography

By PWG Vendor + Wedding Blog Contributor, Alice Falzone

This venue is officially one of our newest favorite ones in the Pacific Northwest!

Gorge Crest Winery (http://www.gorgecrest.com/index.htm”) on the Washington side of the Columbia River Gorge makes for beautiful wedding photography! It was built and organized to be exclusively catered to wedding celebrations. The wine they produce is made for and distributed only to the wedding guests, it is not sold anywhere else. And its delicious!

Besides the beautiful venue, Meredith and Delane were also fantastic! Always fun to work with and shoot photography with. They are fun and obviously completely in love with one another. Nothing but laughs and hugs of joy and pure bliss, with the two of them.

Josh and I photographed their fall colors under the St John’s Bridge engagement session, in Portland, last October, and knew right away that we would hit it off. Their attitude towards life and their happiness is contagious. Meredith’s smile is especially addicting!

Their DJ turned the party up a few notches towards the end of the evening and wow did everyone have fun! The dance floor was packed and the music was being mixed non-stop! Then the sunset hit and wow, what an even more amazing panorama surrounding this day. One of the very best wedding days yet!

What a gorgeous wedding….and stunning photography to match. Cheers to Meredith + Delane!

More News from The Weekend Wedding Retreat Dallas/Fort Worth

By Perfect Wedding Guide National Wedding Expert Susan Southerland

Happy Friday everyone. I am busy preparing for a client’s wedding today. Second to last one before my own wedding!

I had a week full of travel between speaking at the National Association of Catering Executives meeting in Austin and planning sessions for The Weekend Wedding Retreat Dallas/Fort Worth. The countdown is on for this fun and unique planning experience.

While I was in Texas, I spoke with the fabulous bridal salon who will be participating in The Weekend Wedding Retreat. Bliss Bridal Salon is a modern and innovative bridal salon specializing in providing the latest designs for the cosmopolitan bride. From classic lines to today’s hottest trends, we can fulfill the dreams of the most fashion forward and modern brides. See below for their interview.

Susan: Why do you like working with brides?
Bliss: Each bride has a different personality and vision. We love hearing their stories, how they met, how he proposed and their ideas for their wedding. When we can assist them in finding their gown for that special day, it is an honor and a privilege as they are allowing us to be a part of one of the most important days of their life. Every day in the salon is different and exciting, we love and thrive off of the ever changing environment.

Susan: What is your favorite part of the wedding day?
Bliss: As we are typically not a part of the actual wedding day, we would have to say the pictures of the brides getting ready, the first look from the fiancé and the pictures of the joy and celebration during the reception.

Susan: What inspired you to open your salon?
Bliss: Fort Worth needed something new and modern to assist today’s bride. We felt driven to bring couture back to Fort Worth and empower our brides to make a statement without having to drive a long distance in search of their gown. Our main focus has always been undivided, attentive and personal service. We brought this type of service back to the brides in Fort Worth and have been told over and over that whatever it is we do makes this the easiest decision of the wedding process.

Susan: What is the most rewarding part about being a salon owner?
Bliss: The most rewarding part of owning the salon is when the girls thank us either in person or with a handwritten note later. Many times, the brides will call us after the wedding to let us know how much everyone loved their dress and when we can expect a picture to hang in our entrance. We are in this to help the brides dreams come true, it has never been about anything else than seeing them smile.

Susan: What is your philosophy for the wedding day?
Bliss: A wedding day should epitomize the personalities of the bride and groom. It should be a time of reverence and of celebration. We hope that all of our brides have the most enjoyable and memorable day of their lives.

We are so excited that Bliss will be with our couples at The Weekend Wedding Retreat. We hope that you will join us! It is Septebmer 11 and 12 at the Sheraton Fort Worth Hotel and Spa. For more information go to Perfect Wedding Guide Dallas Website.

Wedding Ideas: Inspiration and Wedding Ideas for Chelsea Clinton’s Weekend Wedding

By Wedding Blog Contributor, Samantha Crotty

Due to all the media blitz that is surrounding the upcoming wedding of a former first daughter, we’ve decided to put together a few wedding ideas in an inspiration board befitting of political royalty!

Chelsea Clinton, first daughter of former President of the United States, Bill Clinton, is set to marry Marc Mezvinsky this Saturday, July 31, 2010. The tents have been set up at the Astor Courts building, an hour and a half outside of New York City in Rhineback, NY.

Several magazines and online gossip sites have been referring to this affair as the “Wedding of the Decade.” Due to Chelsea’s mothers and fathers status (Secretary of State and former President), the wedding details have been kept a secret since being announced. Secret details have never kept the media quiet before, so as you can imagine, there are numerous rumors circulating about what the wedding will look like, etc.

The estimated cost has already reached $3 to $5 million. The tents at Astor Courts have tallied in at $600,000. What other rumors have been announced?

- The Wedding Planner is Bryan Rafanelli
- Caterer is a Hudson Valley Local
- Photographer is Dennis Reggie
- The flowers and decorations are being designed by Jeff Leatham
- The guest list is at 500
- The FAA has enforced a “no-fly zone” over Rhineback, New York starting 7/31 and ending 8/1
- $200,000 has been spent for extra security (personally paid for by the Clinton’s)

But with all the rumors developing, and no real detail released, it was time for Perfect Wedding Guide to come up with our own ideas and create another inspiration board.

Chelsea Clinton has been in the public eye since her father became the President. Even though we have watched her grow up, there isn’t a whole lot that we know about Chelsea. Due to the lack of knowledge of her personal interests, it made creating this inspiration board a bit of a challenge (but we do love a good challenge!)

I envisioned Chelsea’s wedding to be simply and classic. Beautiful neutral tones with a hint of green to add that little bit of color. The soon-to-be Mrs. Mezvinsky was spotted recently at Vera Wang, which leads every media source to believe that her gown will be made by the designer herself. Considering the supposed formality of the event, I selected “Evelyn” from the Fall 2010 Bridal Collection.

When it came to the flowers, nothing says simple and classic like Casablanca Lilies. I think we will see these flowers in Chelsea’s bouquet, the bridesmaids bouquets, throughout the ceremony, and in the reception centerpieces.

And lastly, the wedding cake will have clean lines and be very traditional. It might even rival her parent’s wedding cake!

Wedding details will likely be released to the media sometime next week. Until then, many of us will be pondering the possibilities.

How accurate do you think my inspiration board will be to the actual details? What do you think some of the details will be? Leave me a comment below! I would love to hear your wedding ideas for the soon-to-be Mrs. Mezvinsky!
