Wish Upon a Wedding offers beautiful nuptials for those who can’t afford it
Wish Upon a Wedding granted the Scarnecchia's of Warren, Ohio, with the wedding of their dreams this past weekend, according to Cleveland News Net.
Wish Upon a Wedding offers people who are suffering from life-threatening illnesses or life-altering situations with the financial burden of upcoming nuptials Jonathan has a brain tumor that requires him to travel to Cleveland often for treatment. The couple could not afford a wedding until the organization stepped in and provided them with money for the wedding dress, venue, food and anything else to make their special day become possible, according to the media outlet.
Even though Jonathan is sick, he was still creative when it came to asking Alyssa for her hand in marriage.
"I tried to propose to her with my medicine bottle," Jonathan told the news source. "I stuck it [the ring] all the way down in the bottle and put a cloth over it. I said I need a pill and she gave me a pill. She didn't see the thing. So I'm like, can I get another pill? I don't want that one."
Wish Upon a Wedding has been expanding throughout the U.S., the organization just opened a branch in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, as well.
