For the past week, we here at the wedding blog have been closely following the glamazons and gliteratti alike as they cat-walked New York City streets to celebrate one of the biggest occasions ever– Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. And of course, the best way to discover new trends for home/interiors, lifestyle, and weddings is by following the fashionable set at each show.

Fun Uses of Personal Photos for Wedding Decor

Personalizing your wedding decor continues to be a huge trend, and a great way to do that is to incorporate photos of yourselves! In today’s video, Perfect Wedding Guide‘s National Wedding Expert, Susan Southerland shares her ideas to get you thinking creatively about how to display your wedding photos.

  • Use your engagement photo on the guest book table or where guests pick up their table number cards
  • Use a framed photo with a ribbon hanger as chair or pew decor
  • Use frames photos from your different activities or vacations as table decor during your cocktail hour or reception
  • Give a small framed photo of yourselves as a wedding favor
  • Have your guests sign a blank mat instead of a guest book, then display it in your home framing your wedding photo
  • Create a PowerPoint slide show and play it for your guests during the cocktail hour or prior to your entrance into the reception
  • Get creative and use photos from your childhood all the way to your engagement, or photos from past generations of your family weddings
