The spring 2012 collection for Angel Sanchez was all about soft and flowy dresses (notice the trend?), and true to his architectural background, the bridal designer included sophisticated lines to keep the dresses modern and glamorous.
His use of asymmetrical cuts paired with ruffles was genius and created dresses we’ve never seen before, such as a double georgette sheath made up of fringed fabric with draped ruffles at the neckline. A one-shoulder gown with a sheer tulle embroidered back featuring a “fireworks” motif was like a modern work of art. These beautiful dresses could easily be on display in the Met’s Costume Institute, or at least on a bride holding her wedding at a museum.
Angel Sanchez was the first stop for us during Bridal Market. His fall 2011 collection was absolutely stunning and simply took our breath away!
