A number of well-known celebrities got engaged over the holiday season and are now
planning a wedding. With these engagements came some gorgeous engagement rings, and they are fueling wedding trends across the country, according to National Jeweler.
There are three main trends featured on several left hands. The first is a classic look. According to Us Weekly, this is the style that Adam Shulman chose for Anne Hathaway when he got down on one knee. The 6-carat ring costs around $150,000.
"After all that Anne's been through in the past she knows the value of quality in everything, from her men to her engagement ring," jewelry expert Michael O'Connor told the news source. "Like a fine romance, this setting will embrace the diamond forever and never fade or change color."
Another trend is pave diamonds set in a platinum band, surrounding the main diamond. These little diamonds usually cost a fraction of the bigger one, allowing a little more pizzazz. Finally, colored gemstone rings have also been popular. The most well-known being Duchess Kate Middleton, whose blue sapphire ring is nothing short of beautiful.
