In some case, brides-to-be love to be the center of attention, while others shy away from it and are more excited about entering the next stage of their lives rather than the ceremony and reception. One bride from Italy was in no doubt the former, as she beat the record for longest veil at approximately 1.8 miles long, according to the Daily mail.
It was hard to notice the
beautiful wedding dress that Elena De Angelis donned on her special day, as the guests and even the town were too distracted by the lavish veil that trailed behind her. This record-breaking veil created quite the crowd, as residents of the town clapped as she was driven to the church in an old-fashioned car with her veil being held by hundreds of people from the design company and from the town, the news source reports.
According to 1WeddingSource, to put the enormous veil into perspective, it is about the length of the Golden Gate Bridge. Guinness Book of World Records is currently investigating to confirm that it indeed broke a record.
