"Since bridesmaids often pay for their own dresses, they want something that they can wear over and over again," said Harper Butler of SimplyBridal.com. "As conventions for weddings have relaxed, so has the dress code for brides and bridesmaids. This spring, many bridesmaids will have youthful, fresh, and reusable dresses."
When it comes to the
beautiful wedding dress the bride will wear, an entire lace overlay will still be popular. However, lace could also make its way to the bridesmaid dress through detailing and accents. Also, bright colors such as tangerine or emerald will be used a great deal along with a variety of necklines with strapless still the most popular.
Another popular trend is allowing the bridesmaids decide. Basically the bride gives her favorite girlfriends a color palette, and then they seek out a dress they feel is the most flattering - and something they can wear again.
