Every gal dreams of having the picture-perfect wedding, but women in the military are often faced with certain obstacles. Between being shipped halfway around the world and dealing with the stress of active duty, sometimes
planning a wedding is put on the back burner.
Now, one organization is doing their part to assist those who have helped this country, SILive.com reports. Brides Across America, a nonprofit that allows women in the military to hand-pick the wedding dress of their dreams, will be holding a nationwide event November 10 and 11.
"Many soldiers come back injured and take severe pay cuts. The least we can do is to help them have a magical day!" said Heidi Janson, founder of the group.
Participating bridal stores will allow those who qualify to try on designer wedding dresses and pick the one they like best - for free! To participate, ladies must be engaged and in active duty or have a fiancé who is currently in Iraq or Afghanistan.
