Every bride-to-be spends her days and nights dreaming of Vera Wang's collection of elegant wedding dresses, but how many women actually wear one on her special day?
It looks like those who were in attendance at the September 17 taping of the Oprah Winfrey Show were given the surprise of their lives. According to StyleList.com, 50 newly-engaged women were presented with a free Vera Wang wedding dress.
The news source reports that the talk show queen, who had the wedding dress designer to the stars on her show, suddenly asked her audience to stand up. It was then that she shouted with joy, "Miss Vera Wang is coming to your rescue!"
After the screams from the stands subsided, 11 gowns from Wang's new collection, White by Vera, were shown for the ladies
planning a wedding. The
unique wedding dresses will be available at David's Bridal this February.
"These dresses will be available to so many more brides than I've been able to ever reach before," Wang told Winfrey on the show. "So it's a whole new world for us and bridal, with all the same aesthetics and design philosophy."
Wang's designs are as hot as can be at the moment. This past summer, Chelsea Clinton and Hilary Duff wore her elegant wedding dresses as they entered marital bliss.
