The wedding planning and actual nuptials of the Prince William and Kate Middleton received an enormous amount of media attention. Along with the event, fashion at the wedding was also under heavy scruntiny. Middleton's wedding dress was elegant and widely loved, but not everyone's outfit was.
Princess Beatrice's hat - which was shaped as a bow with ribbons around it - was one of the most talked about subjects after the wedding, and none of it was good. The pink hat was compared to a toilet seat among other things, and the designer, Philip Treacy, finally spoke in her defense, according to the Daily Mail.
"I felt hurt for her. She is only 22 and there was a little bit of bullying going on," Treacy told the news source. "In the future, we'll look back and think she looked wild."
According to the Washington Post, even with the harsh light that Treacy's creation was put under, an A-list celebrity has managed to seek him out. It was recently released that Lady Gaga, who is known for her outlandish fashion, has requested an internship so she could learn from the fashion designer.
