The top floor of Minnesota's Mall of America got quite the package yesterday. The treehouse-sized crate was wheeled into the display room and two men immediately started to open the crate - underneath was the
beautiful wedding dress worn by the late Princess Diana, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
"I never dreamed I'd be working with this [dress] when watching the wedding at home with my family," Nick Grossmark told the news source.
Grossmark, along with Graeme Murton, are the only two allowed to handle the dress, and this is their 14th stop on the tour. This weekend, the "Diana: A Celebration" exhibit will open at the Mall of America.
The dress is 30 years old, as Prince Charles and Diana wed in July 1981. Her ensemble put out all the stops including heeled silk slippers with suede soles and a 25-foot long train, the media outlet reports.
According to The Huffington Post, not only is the wedding gown displayed, but the moving exhibit will also feature 28 of Diana's designer dresses, family heirlooms and personal keepsakes.
