Those who are
planning a wedding that is quite lavish, if not over-the-top, may want to consider wedding rings made by SpaceWed, as these unique gold bands have been blasted off to space for a few minutes and made their way back to Earth, according to Tecca.
The Swedish company who created these rings were inspired when astronauts would wear their wedding rings while in space. So, they decided to launch an amount of gold into space, and it was taken down by a rocket, according to the news source.
Each of these rings come engraved with a number and a certificate to show its authenticity. These space wedding rings do not come cheap, as the company is only making 50 pairs of them, and they go for $17,000, the media outlet reports.
Individuals who are not planning on getting hitched can still purchase one of these limited edition rings, as the company made 50 extra single ones, according to Gizmodo. These go for $12,000 a piece - but they have been to space and back.
