The world is bursting with excitement in anticipation of the royal wedding, and it's safe to say this most likely stems from the need to see Kate Middleton's wedding dress. Because of this, Buckingham Palace is pulling out all the stops to make sure the garment is kept under lock and key.
Reuters spoke with Elizabeth Emanuel, the lucky fashion guru who designed Princess Diana's gown for her 1981 affair. The clothing expert explained that security was super-tight during the process.
"We used to leave bits of different colored threads and things to put them on the wrong track and we had to put blinds up so that people couldn't peer through the windows," Emanuel told the news outlet. "And we even had a spare dress hanging up just in case somebody did discover the secret."
While people continue to count the moments until Kate walks down the aisle at Westminster Abbey, word on the street is that she has already picked her piece from a long list of wedding dress designers. Rumors are swirling that Bruce Oldfield has landed the coveted gig.
