Many brides have been dreaming about their wedding dress since they were young. The one thing that many blushing brides do not think about is what they are going to do with their beautiful gown after their big day.
Brides who are planning or hoping to pass their gown down one day to their daughter or granddaughter may want to look into the different types of preservation companies, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Cleaning is the most important facet of the preservation process because champagne or ginger ale that found its way onto the dress will turn out to be big brown stains as the dress stays hung up, the news source reports.
According to the Budget Fashionista, there are a few different things a bride can do with her dress after she says "I do" including dyeing it, making it into a quilt, shorten it to wear again or sell it. A newlywed can also donate her dress, this way someone who cannot afford a dress will still be able to have one on her special day.
