For women who are
planning a wedding and enjoy a spooky Halloween story, have we got a tale for you.
According to KARE 11 News, 79-year-old Carolyn Mauck spent this past Sunday handing out candy to trick-or-treaters. However, a few hours later, she suddenly realized her prized wedding ring was missing.
"I knew it was loose, but I didn't know it would go over my knuckle," she told the news outlet. "It just slipped off my finger when I put the candy in the bucket."
A few houses down, 4-year-old Sam Stewart and his younger brother, Jack, were about to dig into their goody bag. However, their mom decided to rummage through their prized possessions before they went to town.
"We dumped out the candy and as soon as I dumped out Cookie Monster's bucket the ring literally popped up," Michaela Sims Stewart told the news outlet.
Luckily, through a community website, the pair was able to connect. Mauck is especially thankful, as the ring reminds her of her husband, who recently passed away.
Women who have shed weight and are dealing with loose wedding rings may want to head to their jewelry to get it resized. A little tune-up can help prevent misplacing a vital piece of her wedding fashion!
