When it comes to wedding receptions or large events, Birkdale’s Palmer Pavilion is a perfect choice. This 5,000 square foot private building provides the feel of an outdoor reception without having to worry about the weather. Palmer Pavilion can accommodate up to 200 guests seated or up to 250 cocktail-style. With a working stone fireplace at one end and an antique bar at the other, high rafter ceilings and the entire perimeter enclosed with French doors, you can achieve an open, outdoor feel without ever going outside. The Palmer Pavilion comes equipped with tables, chairs, white linen tablecloths and napkins, glassware, flatware, and all barware. All you provide are centerpieces and any other decorations you wish. For those who want to get closer to nature, Birkdale Golf Club has an outdoor lawn overlooking the beautiful 18th green, perfect for outdoor wedding ceremonies or gatherings.

Promised the world, but came up short on the day of.

1.8/ 5

A lot of promises were made over the 8-9 months of planning we had before our wedding. We don’t charge for this, don’t worry about the cost for that.. we just want YOU to have the greatest wedding possible. They basically said anything to give us all the warm and fuzzies possible up until two days before. When we stopped by for our rehearsal it was all business. We don’t have THAT in writing.. show ME the email where you said you explicitly wanted that. My mother frantically calls and says that we can’t start decorating for the venue at the agreed upon time. Tiffany, who we verified times with not 2 weeks ago, lets us know that there is a golf tournament and we cannot set up decorations. She goes on to say that she had informed my fiancée of this already. Simple mistake right? Must be a miscommunication somewhere? Except my fiancée has NO idea what she is talking about. How did a catered event just materialize in two weeks anyways? Total BS but no problem we can just push things out and Tiffany assures us things will be fine. Then another problem, we had asked for pictures and other details during the course of planning for a wedding gazebo. Turns out that it is an extra cost and when it was left off the final cost sheet. No biggie the wedding is tomorrow please get it in line. Day of wedding and all the promises of last night have not been fulfilled. The gazebo is dirty and no effort has been made to move it, the reception hall is a disaster, and Tiffany was a mess. Guests reported sarcastic comments and rude orders coming from someone who to this point had been the highlight of our wedding to work with. She nearly had my fiancée in tears before walking down the aisle! Eventually family prevailed and I along with groomsmen moved this ton gazebo ~30 feet and my family stepped up to clean and set up for the venue. Things went off without a hitch. Tiffany on the other hand I cannot recommend for any future events. She was devastatingly disappointing.
