Q Do you allow outside catering?

Since we are a full-service hotel, we do not allow outside catering to be brought in for events. We have many dinner options available in our wedding packages, and we are also happy to work with you to create a custom menu for your event. The exception to this rule is your wedding cake, which may be provided by an outside vendor.

Q Do you decorate?

We have an elegant house centerpiece option, which you may customize for your event. We also provide white floor-length table linens, as well as white or black napkins. For all other upgraded linens there is a charge, which varies depending on the color and material requested. We can also provide up-lighting in the room, for an additional fee. Ceiling draping and other types of advanced decorating services would need to be contracted through an outside vendor. We have several great contacts for these services, and we can work with you to find the vendor that best fits your needs!

Q What kind of menus do you offer?

We offer both plated dinners and buffet-style dinners. We also offer different packages for included cocktail hour & butler-passed hors d'oeuvres with dinner. Upon purchasing one of our wedding packages, we waive bartender fees for an additional cash bar (after cocktail hour). We customize and build menus for our clients, too! Just speak with our Wedding Coordinator!

Q Do you have room blocks for overnight guests?

Yes, we put together room blocks at discounted rates for overnight guests. We also have courtesy room blocks, which consist of 3 rooms. Any room blocks larger than 3 become subject to "attrition", which means that we charge you for all the rooms in your room block if at least 90% of them are not filled. All overnight guests are welcome to participate in our Evening Reception, which occurs from 5:30-7:30 each evening at our bar; as well as our famous complimentary breakfasts. Breakfast is from 6-9 AM during the week and from 7-10:30 AM on weekends and holidays.

Q What is a

In signing a Catering Contract with us, you agree to either meet or exceed a certain amount (to be disclosed in the contract), which we call a "Food & Beverage Minimum." For catered events, we waive room rental fees. If your event falls short of the F&B Minimum, we charge to make up for the remaining balance.

Q How can I reserve venue space?

We can place a courtesy hold on a venue for 2 weeks. After the 2-week period, we require that a contract be signed and a deposit be made.

I booked my wedding reception almost a year in advance at the Embassy Suites. A few months later I learned that the coordinator I booked with had left her position. Needless to say I was a little stressed out to be working with someone new, even if my wedding was still months away. I was completely proven wrong. Lauren Mestas, the new coordinator, met with my fiance and I right away. She put us at ease and continued to do so throughout the months leading up to the wedding. Lauren was able to answer all of my questions in the quickness I expected. She went above and beyond by answering my massive requests for extra rooms to be opened up for our out of town family and friends. Two weeks before our wedding she went out of her way again by finding a way for our ballroom to be set up a little early so that our family’s band could set up their equipment before the wedding. The actual reception went off without a hitch. Before leaving for the night Lauren introduced us to another member of the staff that would be available to help us, answer questions, etc. Overall, I cannot say enough good things about Lauren, and the Embassy Suites as a whole. The food was delicious, the ballroom was beautiful, and I was relaxed the entire night. I would happily recommend them to other brides!

Lauren in catering was so helpfull did every thing I wanted and if she could not found away to make me happy. My orgnial wedding date did not happen and they worked with me to reschedule my wedding. I would do my wedding here again and I could not be more happy

We had both our wedding and reception at Embassy Suites in Albuquerque on 9/15/2012. We were going to use a different venue but our other venue burned down one and a half months prior to the wedding. Everyone was very helpful at Embassy Suites and everything turned out perfect. They decorated beautifully and all our guests raved about the food (we had a sit down dinner reception). We had the wedding in the atrium and the reception in one of the banquet rooms which worked out great. Lauren Mestas (Catering Sales Manager) was outstanding. She responded to all of my emails in a timely manner and was able to answer all of my questions. She paid close attention to detail and made sure everything was set up the way we wanted it to be at the reception. She was a pleasure to work with, had a wonderful attitude and personality, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding planner at Embassy Suites.
