When I started planning my wedding in early 2013, I wasn't sure I could justify the expense of a planner. But now, looking back at how much Events by Elle helped with our big event, I can't imagine having a wedding without them.
By the time I started working with Michelle and Jonnelle, even though I had already secured vendors (which I'm told is a strength of this company I missed out on), I still had plenty of other questions! How much to tip, where to hold a rehearsal dinner, who to invite... Reading online forums could only take me so far. Their insight into KC area etiquette was invaluable. Every time I wrote with a question (I had many!), I got a response within hours. They really cared about my wedding, and that's rare for a vendor who does this work day in and day out.
As the wedding got closer, I sent Events by Elle all my vendor contracts and they took it from there. They confirmed with each vendor and set up a list of arrival times, which was awesome because I had plenty to worry about. Michelle came to the rehearsal and went out of her way to make sure I was happy. When I got upset that the sidewalk leading into the church was blocked with limbs and branches (more like tree trunks) from tree trimming earlier that day, she took it upon herself to go out in her high heels and move them. TOTALLY above and beyond!
On the day of, Events by Elle arrived the minute our venue would let us in decorate and made sure vendors all delivered what was expectedthey were there until after the reception ended. It was SO NICE not to have to burden friends/family, and they have the experience to know what should happen and in what order. I also appreciated their delicate-yet-firm tact to handle small situations that arose. I didn't have to be the bad guy. :) They also helped navigate my (now) husband and I through the dinner line without getting held up by well-wishers. Without Michelle, I probably never would have eaten!
I 100% recommend Events by Elle.
