What sets you apart from other photographers?
Our clients tell us our personalities and high level of service makes us stand apart from others. Clients start as clients and end up as friends. We love what we do and it shows in the quality and details of our work. Also, we're a team both at work and at home. We speak the same language and anticipate each other's thoughts and needs which makes for a seamless wedding day when we are working as your photography team.
How many photographers will there be at our wedding?
All of our wedding packages include two photographers. Working as a team allows us to photograph from two different viewpoints and sometimes we may even be in two places at once. It's so very important to us that we capture every possible moment that we include this level of service in all of our wedding packages. Most importantly, when you choose Matt Blasing Photography for your wedding photography services, you will ALWAYS have Matt as our primary photographer. We won't send an associate to photograph your wedding like many other photography businesses do.
How many photos will we receive?
The number of photos delivered varies with each wedding, but you can expect a minimum of 75-100 edited images per hour of photography coverage. All of the images delivered are carefully edited and delivered in a personal online gallery so you can download and save the high-resolution images, share them on social media, and even forward your gallery to friends and family members.
Are we required to order prints through you?
We highly recommend prints through our professional lab, but this is not required. You may print your images anywhere you choose. However, the difference in quality is huge when it comes to ordering through a professional lab, so we encourage clients to consider us for prints and other products they choose to purchase after their wedding. We can also help with thank you cards. invitations, albums and wall art if you'd like. It's completely up to you!
Are the couples on your site models?
While we are lucky enough to work with gorgeous couples, the images shown in all of our advertising materials are from actual weddings with real couples, just like you. We don't believe in using anything staged for marketing purposes. Weddings can be stressful and lighting in venues can often be a challenge to photograph in due to limited or poor lighting. We want you to see real examples of our work so you know we can handle any situation on your day.
What equipment do you use?
We use all of the latest Canon equipment. We always carry two camera bodies each (Canon 6Ds and Canon 5D Mark 3s), and several lenses (at minimum-a portrait lens, a wide-angle zoom lens, and a telephoto lens for each photographer). We also bring off-camera lighting equipment because many venues are dark and natural light may be limited. All of our cameras and lenses have a backup in the rare event that anything should happen to one of our pieces of equipment. We also carry professional liability insurance.
Will we receive a print release for our wedding photos?
Absolutely. Upon receiving your images, you will also receive a full print/personal use release.
How do we reserve our wedding date?
A 25% deposit and signed contract is required to reserve your date on our calendar. Because we don't use associate photographers and we personally photograph all of our weddings, we only book one wedding per day. Many couples reserve their date 12-18 months in advance, so contact us early to make sure your date is still available.
