Q Is it okay if I stop by and browse?

Absolutely! Feel free to stop in to view all our beautiful gowns and see what Mia Grace Bridal is all about. If we are not busy helping another bride, we'd love the opportunity to show you around and slip you into your dream gown. If our dressing rooms are all booked, we would still love to meet you and schedule your bridal appointment before you go!

Q How long are the appointment times?

We allow 2 hours for your bridal appointment. Because we are a boutique store, all gowns are out for browsing. We have found an hour and a half is the perfect amount of time to select your favorites and try them on without being rushed. We want your appointment with Mia Grace to be a fun, magical event with those that are closest to you.

Q How should I prepare for my appointment?

Take some time to look through magazines, websites, and wedding blogs so you have a general idea of what you prefer in a wedding dress. This will help us get started in the selection process, but don’t worry, you can also come in with NO IDEA whatsoever about what you want and we will help you narrow it down. So don't worry if you don’t have a clue, just come visit us. We would love to help you discover your own unique style and the perfect dress to match it! We also encourage our brides to come feeling their best! Having your hair and makeup nicely done will help you envision yourself as a bride. It is helpful to bring light colored undergarments of a similar style that you will wear on your wedding day, including strapless bras and spanx (if desired). While we have some shoes available in the shop, we suggest you bring heels of a height that you will wear for your wedding so you can get the complete picture when trying on your dress. Spray tan, body make-up and lip gloss last forever... on the gowns. Please consider the soiling of (possibly your own) gown when preparing to try on gowns. We truly appreciate when our clients are respectful and considerate of the staff and merchandise

Q Do you carry plus size samples?

Yes, we absolutely have plus size wedding gowns! We do our best to accommodate as many beautiful body types as possible with our sample dresses. The majority of our samples are sizes 8, 10, and 12, but we also have a selection of sample gowns size 14-26W. This allows us to get the largest range of various body types, both smaller and larger, into our gowns and order just the right size for each of our brides. In order to give you the best possible idea of what your dress will fit like when tailored to you we use pins and modesty panels for dresses that are on the small side and clips for dresses that are too big. If you have specific questions or if you would like to speak to someone directly about your size concerns and learn more about what we have, please email us or just give us a call at 636-778-3433. We want to make sure you have a relaxed and enjoyable experience while shopping at Mia Grace!

Q Can I bring a large party to my appointment?

We recommend that you limit your party to three or less during your first visit trying on gowns. We have found that the opinions of a trusted few always make for an easier decision for you. We suggest bringing those who are closest to you, who value and respect your opinions the most and vice versa. Keeping your party small and intimate will allow you to comfortably express your vision and style. The most important thing to remember is the only opinion that really matters is YOURS. If you are bringing a large party, please let us know in advance to ensure enough seating for your guests. Saturdays are the busiest, so weekday appointments are highly encouraged for larger groups.

Q When should I order my wedding dress?

Dresses can take up to 4-5 months to produce, since it is being made to order. When you factor in shipping and alterations, it could be a 6 month total process. We suggest deciding on a dress 6-9 months prior to your wedding date, so you have time built in for fittings and accessorizing. There are rush options for weddings under 6 months, but rush fees do apply. Once you have decided on "The Dress", we will take an extensive set of measurements and discuss any changes that need to be made such as raising the neckline or adding extra length, etc. You may want to add straps to a dress or buttons down the back. All of these things will be decided at this time. If you have chosen to have a bridal portrait, then you might consider ordering your gown 8 to 10 months prior to your wedding. Don't be discouraged if you don't have that much time to find a dress, we do have some of our designers who can accommodate a rush order on a gown for an additional fee. So don’t let the timing worry you, please stop in and visit us and we will work with you on finding the perfect dress that can be ordered quickly.

Q What is the price range of wedding gowns that you carry?

Our wedding gown prices range from $650 – $2,400. The majority of our dresses are priced from $997 – $1,700. To order your gown, a 50% deposit is required with the remainder of the balance due once your dress arrives. Dresses sold "off the rack" must be paid in full. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Cash, and American Express.

Q Will I need alterations and do you do fittings in your shop?

We will order the dress as close to your current size as possible, but most bridal gowns will require alterations to have the perfect fit in order for you feel your most beautiful and comfortable on your wedding day. All alterations are handled outside of the boutique; since a tailor’s shop has all the necessary tools at their fingertips and are better able to complete any last minute changes you may want to make to your gown. We have partnered with some local expert tailors that have many years of experience with wedding alterations. We suggest that before picking up your gown you contact a tailor to schedule your appointment to start the fitting process. When purchasing your dress we will be glad to recommend a list of tailors to choose from. Standard alterations typically run around $100 - $500, depending on the changes made to the gown. When adding sleeves or making other significant customizations, final pricing will run slightly higher.
