Liars and bigots

They owners refuse to rent their venue to a same sex couple because they say it would violate state law. This is an obvious lie to hide the fact that they are bigots. Stay away!

If you have any gay/lesbian family members or guests, you may not wish to use this venue or at least kindly not put them in the position of choosing to attend your ceremony at a business that won’t serve them. http://www.wsmv.com/story/25350295/same-sex-couple-given-approval-by-wedding-venue-then-denied

Liars & Biggots

Mint Springs Farm is a business I would never support. I can’t even give a rating for a business that uses someone’s sexuality to exclude them from the use of their facility. Instead of standing up for what they believe in the company used the Tennessee law to get around the issue. Just be honest and say you will not serve same sex couples because of your own bias. I can’t stand cowards.

Venue Discriminates

1/ 5

Comments¬† To publicly say that your business hosts ceremonies, and then deny your venue to same sex couples in today’s society is wrong. Please consider standing on the right side of history, and embrace love. It’s funny that this business decides to state they are only following TN law because they only host weddings at their venue, yet they open their business to “receptions only,” when couples choose to get married elsewhere. They also commented to WSMV News Channel 4, that it was against their “policy” to host same sex ceremonies. Which is it? Policy, or that you’re strictly following TN law? For the bigotry and lies, I simply cannot rate this a favorable business.

Discriminates Against Gay People

1/ 5

The fact that they have a policy of not allowing gay people to have their weddings at MSF is just down right discrimination and pure bigotry. What does it matter if it’s not legal yet in Tennessee? It’s not like MSF get’s funding from the state. Love is love, plain and simple. It’s too bad that MSF is far behind in the times.

Company supports Discrimination

Someday discrimination will be a thing of the past. But this company’s love of discrimination will never be forgotten.

So easy to work with!

5/ 5

I haven’t had my wedding yet, but I don’t have to to be able to say how wonderful this venue is! The property is absolutely gorgeous and the ladies are wonderful to work with!! They are the most responsive and personable people that I’ve talked to out of pretty much all the venues in the Nashville area. And the flexibility on items to really make your wedding your own is awesome! So excited to have my special day here!!!!!

On top of things

5/ 5

When meeting with the ladies from Mint Springs Farm, you get excited about your wedding just by how excited they are about their venue. They want to make your day as personalized as possible. Their ideas are fantastic, and they seem extremely capable of making them happen. Their venue is absolutely beautiful and unlike any other we visited. For all that they offer they were on the lower price end compared to other venues we looked into. I am extremely excited to see what all they can come up with.

Hands Down Best Nashville Wedding Deal

5/ 5

My fiance and I visited every barn wedding venue within a 50-mile radius of Nashville, and Mint Springs Farm, even though still under construction, blows them all away. When combined with the superior, personal service you receive from the owners who act more or less as your own wedding planners, I can’t really imagine a more perfect wedding experience. Lynn and Jan are so excited about our wedding that my fiance and I almost forget we aren’t the only couple having our wedding at Mint Springs. They treat the planning of our ceremony and reception as if they were planning their own son or daughter’s wedding by always responding to our emails with hours (even at 10 or 11pm) and being incredibly open to all of our questions, recommendations, and visions for our day. Even though this review is coming from the future groom, I have to comment on the bridal suite. No other venue has any type of accomodation that can compare. Literally, you can fit the whole bridal party and every female family member and still have plenty of space for them all to do cart wheels. With the barn and pavilion in site, the porch of the suite overlooks the lake making this a dream location for any photographer. Words really cannot adequately describe the landscape; you just have to see it for yourself. The groomsmen don’t have it all that bad. Our hang out is across the lake in the barn with a large flat screen TV, XBox 360, and pool table. However, I know none of the above matters if you do not have the money to pay for it, but our budget was a good bit less than the national average wedding budget according to some magazines, and Mint Springs made it work. We’re getting more from Mint Springs than we would have gotten from just about anywhere else for a significantly less amount of money. You’re probably thinking the cliche of “It sounds too good to be true” right about now, but trust me. Visit Mint Springs, talk to the owners, and you’ll see what I mean.

Lied to, if you have any sort of budget go else

1/ 5

Upon first meeting with these women, I would agree with the other reviews, until it came down to the contract. When I met with them to put the deposit down my price was 25% higher than what we agreed upon. There were promises made that were not held up on their end, and when I asked specific questions I was told one thing, but when money was involved it was the complete opposite. I had a date set and was ready for save the dates, until meeting with them now I am stuck starting all over. This is not how you treat people, and not how you operate a business.
