My fiance and I visited every barn wedding venue within a 50-mile radius of Nashville, and Mint Springs Farm, even though still under construction, blows them all away. When combined with the superior, personal service you receive from the owners who act more or less as your own wedding planners, I can't really imagine a more perfect wedding experience.
Lynn and Jan are so excited about our wedding that my fiance and I almost forget we aren't the only couple having our wedding at Mint Springs. They treat the planning of our ceremony and reception as if they were planning their own son or daughter's wedding by always responding to our emails with hours (even at 10 or 11pm) and being incredibly open to all of our questions, recommendations, and visions for our day.
Even though this review is coming from the future groom, I have to comment on the bridal suite. No other venue has any type of accomodation that can compare. Literally, you can fit the whole bridal party and every female family member and still have plenty of space for them all to do cart wheels. With the barn and pavilion in site, the porch of the suite overlooks the lake making this a dream location for any photographer. Words really cannot adequately describe the landscape; you just have to see it for yourself.
The groomsmen don't have it all that bad. Our hang out is across the lake in the barn with a large flat screen TV, XBox 360, and pool table.
However, I know none of the above matters if you do not have the money to pay for it, but our budget was a good bit less than the national average wedding budget according to some magazines, and Mint Springs made it work. We're getting more from Mint Springs than we would have gotten from just about anywhere else for a significantly less amount of money.
You're probably thinking the cliche of "It sounds too good to be true" right about now, but trust me. Visit Mint Springs, talk to the owners, and you'll see what I mean.
