First and foremost, I rarely write reviews for anything, but I felt compelled to write this review to show how pleased I was with my wedding at Mission Inn Resort and Club. It could not have gone any smoother and stress free, thanks to the professionalism and expertise of the Mission Inn staff!! Nor could I have imagined a more perfect and beautiful wedding, I truly thank them for helping me create such extraordinary lifetime memories. A little background info, I am a United States Marine veteran who served 5 years of active duty which included a tour in Afghanistan. I actually met my husband Aaron in Afghanistan, and we remained friends until 5 years later when we decided to get together. Aaron decided to stay in the service while I decided to pursue another career after my enlistment was over. I went to school full time and got my B.S. in biology from St. John's University, and a B.S. in nursing from Columbia University, while also becoming EMT-B certified and working as a part time night shift CNA at a midtown hospital in NYC. I now work as a full-time orthopedics RN in the hospital while Aaron is still serving as an active duty Staff Sergeant. Anyway, back to what matters! I've had the pleasure of working with Bri Marbais and Mark Kingsdorf (Wedding Sales Managers), and Amy Roehrig (Wedding and Event Coordinator). When I first inquired about the resort, Bri quickly responded and offered me detailed options and services they could provide. They were aware of my budget and they were very mindful and respectful of it, they answered my questions promptly and were not overbearing. We planned a day to visit the resort and Mark provided such a great overview and showing of all the different sites to choose from. The property was beautiful and so unique, we couldn't help but know this was our place before the tour was even over! We ended up choosing Plaza de la Fontana for the ceremony, La Veranda for cocktail hour, and La Hacienda for the reception, a perfect combination for a 50-guest wedding event. Nowhere else in my search was I offered this many options and settings to choose from, at a great price as well. They ended up offering an all-inclusive package even on a budget, which was great because I was planning from out of state! I am just so very thankful for Amy, my amazing event coordinator because she basically made my wedding run as smoothly and stress free as possible. She met us when we visited the resort for menu tasting, communicated mainly through e-mail and the occasional phone call appointment, and made planning a wedding from afar a breeze. She took care of everything, reminding me of deadlines and what to do next (because I was just totally clueless about the wedding process) and was always available to answer my questions (silly at times) and concerns. They took care of the dinner reception (we had specific dietary requests and they obliged), wedding cake (we chose cupcakes), DJ, florist, officiant, and photographer vendors, how convenient was that? And to top it off, all of them were fabulous in customer service and amazing to work with. Amy coordinated a rehearsal and rehearsal dinner which went great and definitely calmed my nerves the day prior to the wedding. She was also present throughout the wedding event to make sure things went accordingly, and I cannot express how appreciative and grateful I am for her work. The service we received from the staff leading up to and during the event was amazing, from the hotel front desk to the servers, they were all very friendly, cordial, and professional. The property was beautifully kept and well maintained, pictures do not do the property justice! There was not one negative thing I can recall from this entire encounter. Vendors: The only vendor I had to set up for myself was the bridal party hair and makeup, and through Amy's suggestion, I booked Laura Reynolds and her team. Laura and Felicia were very professional and charming, worked efficiently, and we loved how they worked with us to create the look we wanted. With their help and our amazing photographers from Live Happy Studios, Kellie and Lindsay, we have spectacular photos to remember such a happy event! Throughout my life, I've always regretted on thing- not taking enough pictures at to look back upon. Kellie and Lindsay were such a pleasure to work with as they made us laugh and become comfortable in front of the camera. The pictures they produced came out breathtakingly beautiful and captured our personalities within them. This will definitely be one of my proudest moments in life and I am so glad they were my photographers to capture them. Carly Ane's floral studio took care of my floral arrangements and they did such a beautiful job, the colors just popped and looked stunning in our photos! They worked with my color scheme and the very little floral preferences that I did have, and I could not have imagined such vibrant and complimentary colors that were arranged. Danny, our DJ from DKN-tertainment did both our ceremony and reception music, and he did a great job since I ended up dancing all night with my bridal party, friends, and family. He kept us informed of what reception events to expect next, and took and carried out requests. My favorite part of the wedding was that dancefloor, so I am thankful he provided such a wonderful atmosphere for me to dance away with my loved ones. Our officiant Glynn Ferguson from Sensational Ceremonies made it very easy to custom tailor our ceremony the way we wanted so it was great working with him. Aaron and I were able to find options that were not religious (agnostic and atheist) and also chose to do a wine+love letter box at the end of the ceremony. All in all, this was such an exceptional experience, and again I thank Mission Inn Resort's exemplary staff and recommended vendors for pulling this off. I honestly could have not imagined a more perfect wedding, and I highly recommend them.
