Overall we had a positive experience. The staff was very easy going and, by in large, made every effort to accommodate our request. We specifically chose this venue because we are a Catholic couple and wanted to support a Catholic organization. The K of C does good work in the community and it is important to support such organizations. That being said they are not a top tear venue. By that I mean when we went to sample the food the food was brought out, we ate, then left. Other venues had a special coordinator there to eat with you and the chef would come out and talk about the food. For us the extra attention was not necessary but that is why I say they are not a top tear, which is not a bad thing in my opinion. We did have a small issue with the original date. Basically from our perspective, preference was given to a couple whose father was a past grand knight and our reception was bumped so we had to pick another date. I am sure K of C saw the issue a bit differently, but in the end we were not really that upset because honestly, preference should be given to members and in the end it was no big deal. A week before our wedding we sat down with K of C and went through all the details. This was a wonderful thing to do. We were a bit upset because we were assured we would not run out of appetizers and we did. Don't worry people did not go hunger and I believe K of C made financial reimbursement to compensate. My understanding is that their vendors ran out of the food so their hands were tied. The K of C did go out of their way to allow us plenty of extra time to decorate and access to the hall like we would have gotten nowhere else. The wait was professional and great to work with the day of the wedding. The food was great and they even worked with us to create a unique menu mixing both plated and buffet styles.

Liz was extremely helpful and flexible throughout the whole process and even afterwards... she grabbed our cake topper and anniversary cake, preserving both until we got back from our honeymoon. We looked at many sites throughout the search for a venue that could accommodate 350 and are confident there's no better value in the Indianapolis area. 350 fit quite comfortably... if you rent the dining room and serve buffet lines in there you can fit 350 + dance floor + 2 bars + DJ and not have to move tables during the reception. Parking for our guests was abundant. Setup/tear down was flexible. Food was excellent. Overall, there's a ton of stuff to worry about before a wedding. However, the Northside K of C's flexibility helped to minimize the amount of stress, which was a huge relief. If we could, would do it all over again.
