Hi, I’m Stephanie,

I’m honored you are here and taking the time to read more about me!

I’ve been coordinating events in the Kansas City area for over 11 years now. I got my start with my first college internship with ‘A Brides Best Friend’ a wedding consultant company. This experience developed within me the desire to expand my knowledge of event coordination, and the dream of starting my own business. After my internship I worked as a lead wedding coordinator for Unity Village, a large and busy venue in Kansas City, where I sometimes balanced multiple weddings a day. Having experienced planning in both my college internship, and then on a corporate level, I knew in my heart that entrepreneurship was the route I wanted to pursue. So my journey building my own business began!

I completely love being a personal wedding & event planner. I love when my clients tell me how invaluable I am to them and how I’ve turned their dream plans into reality. It’s a amazing feeling to be the person someone trusts with their plans, and to be able to put everyone at ease so that the day can be enjoyed to the fullest without worry or stress.

I’d L-O-V-E to hear from you, and discuss how I can help turn your ideas into reality!

Q Will you travel?

Absolutely! I LOVE to travel and can give you a quote based on distance and length of stay.

Q My venue says they have a coordinator, can’t I just use them? Or a family member or friend?

Many venues have a employee that is responsible for sales/service, and that the venue refers to them as their “coordinator”. Some are more involved than others, but their main job and duties are to oversee the venue and staff, not follow through with your detailed timeline OR to be available to do things for you outside the venues contract. When you hire a personal coordinator, you are getting someone who is dedicated to seeing your complete vision for your wedding day or event come to life, and to give you their undivided attention. Family & friends as your coordinator is never a good idea. Family & friends should be in attendance as your guests, and be able to fully enjoy the day and each moment with you instead of feeling anxious or stressed to get items off the to-do list done. When it comes to your wedding, keep in mind this is probably the largest event you will ever throw. .

Q Can we afford your services?

The average bride spends more than 9 hours per week planning their wedding. A good wedding coordinator is one that will save both time and energy. So, yes! Same goes for events. There are a lot of time consuming details, and resources that I have that can save you time, and money.

Q Do you charge for initial consultation?

Nope! I would love to meet with you and discuss your event to get a better idea of who you are, and the event/wedding you are envisioning (style, theme, personality, etc). This initial consultation takes about 30-60 minutes and can be done via Phone/Skype or in person (if you’re in the KC metro area).

Q Where will we meet for meetings?

If you are located in the Kansas City Metro area, we can meet for coffee or drinks to discuss the packages more in person. *Once you are a booked client, my planning studio is available for meetings.

Q What forms of payment do you accept?

Check or Credit Card. We do all of our contract and payment methods electronically to offer clients the ultimate convenience and to save time. We can also do paper contracts if preferred. We offer payment plans with our packages, an initial deposit is required to reserve your wedding or event date in our calendar.

Q How long have you been in business?

I opened Vaughn Events in 2007, and then re-named the business in April of 2016, so going on almost 10 years now of being in business.

Q Will I still have control over my event if you are planning it for me?

Of course! My job is to help you develop your vision, plan it, organize it, and make it happen.

Q Do you take on more than one wedding or event per day?

Absolutely not! On your day you can rest assured that all my energy and dedication is being focused on you!

Q Will you work with vendors I’ve already found or people I want to work with?

Definitely! I love meeting and working with new vendors. I do not require any client to work with the vendors I already know. I’m here to offer suggestions, advice, and research on vendors if wanted.
