This review is a warning to all couples who are considering having their wedding reception at the RBCC. I’m both shocked and saddened that I have to write this review, as I was really hoping my fiance’ and I would have been happy with RBCC hosting our reception, sadly that is not the case. Our wedding isn’t until Sept 2015, but because my fiance’ and I like to tackle schedules early on, we immediately looked at RBCC to host our reception in the Summer of 2014. Everything we were presented in their Gold Package was great! It included a 5 hr open bar, was priced at $100 per person, could select 2 entree’s, included many selections for hors d’ouvres, included a champagne toast, and we were permitted to use the bridal suite/prep room free of charge (as per Cheryl Romano). However literally everything I just wrote was rescinded two months AFTER my fiance’ signed the contract and sent in a $1000 deposit. Quite shocking to say the least. Now, food packages are separate from beverages, and both cost more. In comparing the basic plan they offer now, for the same degree of services that we were previously promised (two entree’s, good selection of hors d’ouvres, champagne toast, bridal suite use, 5 hr open bar) it will cost approximately $3,400 MORE than the plan we originally signed for. This is simply unfair and downright deceitful on the part of RBCC management. To top it all off, they also discontinued the complementary food tasting, so now we have to pick random selections off of the menu and hope our guests will like what we’ve chosen. The entire ordeal has been nerve racking, and the worst part is the lack of communication we have received from RBCC management: ‘C’ Chereches and head chef Rob Iannocone. The only communication we received was from Cheryl Romano, the coordinator who assured us that these decisions were not hers to make, and we should direct our frustration at C Chereches. For the couples out there who are going to have a wedding at the beach, heed this warning: Do NOT bother with RBCC, you don’t want to waste your time like we unfortunately did.
