My wife and I looked at countless wedding venues and decided after much deliberation, we decided that Talamore would be our best choice. We could not be any happier with our decision. Mark McCool was our coordinator there. He made every step of the process so easy and pleasant. We always looked forward to meeting and talking to him. I'm actually a little sad that the wedding is over because that means no more meetings with Mark McCool!
The venue and space is absolutely beautiful. We were able to seemlessly do everything at Talamore; ceremony, cocktails, and reception. The package includes almost everything; the food, the drinks, the venue, the setup, the staff, the chairs, the linens, even the cake! The staff is extremely attentive to every detail. It is amazing how many little things go into a wedding, and Talamore flawlessly executed every detail. Everyone there is very warm and welcoming and I feel like I really got to know some of the staff throughout the process.
They did whatever it took to make sure we had absolutely everything we wanted and we got it within our budget. Throughout the entire process (about a year and a half of planning!), Mark was always reachable and responsive, no matter how small or large the inquiry was. The entire staff was always extremely welcoming and professional. They really made it very easy and stress free on us.
The wedding day itself went more perfectly than we could have ever imagined. Mark was there for us all day, making sure we never had to worry about anything. All of our guests were treated so well. We received the most amazing compliments on everything relating to Talamore; the venue, the staff, the food, and the drinks.
We were scheduled to have an outdoor ceremony and the forecast predicted rain all day. Mark called me in the morning to see what we wanted to do and I told him that we would like to have the ceremony outside if at all possible and asked him what time he would need to know by. Mark said they would setup outside a few hours before the scheduled ceremony and we could make the call right up until the last minute! Every other venue we had talked to prior said we would need to make that decision 24-48 hours prior to the ceremony.
We were able to have the ceremony outside because of Mark's flexibility and willingness to get his staff to move everything inside up until the last second if needed. The ceremony was amazing! When we got into the reception, Mark came running to me to tell me as soon as we came in, it started to rain!
We had our cocktail hour out in the garden room which was really nice. Everyone was really impressed with the appetizers and especially the mashed potato bar!
The reception was in the ballroom which is really awesome. Everything went so smoothly the entire night and everyone was so happy and had the best time.
Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and we can't thank Talamore enough for making it so special and stress free for us.
We left some things at Talamore the day of the wedding and when my brother-in-law went back to pick them up, Quinn helped him carry everything to the car. He tried to tip him, and Quinn wouldn't accept it; he was just happy to help.
If you are looking for a place to get married or hold any event, I would highly recommend Talamore and I would highly recommend taking any chance you can to work with Mark McCool. It was truly a pleasure!
