TLC Announces Show Spotlighting Full Figured Brides

We just caught wind of a new television show that’s coming to the TLC network that’s really got us excited here at the wedding blog! Thanks to our friends over at, we hear the new reality series Curvy Brides will debut Friday August 1st on the network, adding to their popular lineup of wedding-related content, and spotlighting plus-sized bridal salon, Curvaceous Couture, out of Maryland.

According to the TLC blog,
Owned and operated by sisters Yukia and Yuneisia (Harris), “Curvy Brides” demonstrates that there’s a dream dress out there for every woman, no matter her size. Yukia herself struggled to find a designer wedding gown to suit her curves, and that struggle inspired her to help other women get outfitted for their special day. The sisters started out running a business in their father’s basement, and now they’re running a boutique with gowns for plus-size women with every taste and style.

We took a gander at the salon’s website, and let us tell you — lack of selection for the plus-sized bride is a thing of the past! Offering dresses by designers such as their own Curvaceous Couture Private Collection, Ian Stuart, Allure Bridal, Allure Couture, Pronovias, Manuel Mota, Madison James, Rosa Clara and more, there’s sure to be something for every bride that walks through the door!

We can’t wait to sit back and watch the Harris sisters in action! Until then, check out the Curavaceous Couture Bridal Collection on their website here.
