Candles, Candles, Candles!

We all know what they are, but how can we use them throughout our weddings? The first thing you need to do is check with your venue(s) to see if they allow open flame. Candles come in all shapes, sizes, and prices. That makes decorating easy and gives your wedding décor a simplistic yet classy flare.

Consider grouping up different sized candles on a stairway in glass votives, or lining your aisle with simple white pillar candles. You don’t have to go out and purchase elaborate florals or decorations when candles can simply do the job and a good job at that. Foliage also can accent white or ivory candles as well, draping them across the center of a table and adding small tea light candles around them for a slight glow.

In a rustic sense, add candles to mason jars for your table displays or on tree stumps leading the way down the aisle. There are endless options and easy ways to spruce up a candle display with anything you can think of. Lanterns, vases full of pearls with a candle in the middle, candelabras at your ceremony, and even an empty fireplace with lit pillar candles on the inside with the mantle draped in foliage.

Add flower petals around the base of the candle for a romantic touch, or submerge baby’s breath in water with floating candles on top. My favorite part about candles is the different shapes and sizes that add a gorgeous touch to any wedding from the ceremony to the reception.
