Including your four-legged kids in your wedding ceremony is really nothing new. We’ve seen them with tuxedos and floral collars.
And yes, it’s super sweet.
But Ozark, Missouri bride Sally Burky took it one step further, she knew she wanted something different.
“I was searching different options other than bouquets and puppies popped up on Pinterest. I thought how neat it would be to not only have puppies, but adolescent, and senior dogs as well!” Burky told PEOPLE.
Instead of carrying flowers, each of Sally’s bridal party walked with rescue dogs from Haven of the Ozarks, a rescue that the bride often donates to and visits.
Not only did this act of kindness brought much-needed attention to the shelter but many of the dogs were adopted and the couple collected donations at their wedding as well.
We wish Sally and her new husband a lifetime of blessings! You are both truly amazing!

We invite you to consider making a donation to a local shelter as part of your wedding registry or in lieu of wedding favors!
