Bridal Beauty on a Budget

One thing a bride should never do is skimp on her wedding day beauty. She’s found THE perfect dress (to go with THE perfect guy) and wants to be captured in her wedding photos looking nothing less than gorgeous, so what’s a bride on a budget to do? She needs to do her homework. Finding the right wedding makeup artist shouldn’t be based on price alone, but rather start on what you are willing or not willing to go without—do you want traditional or airbrush makeup? Eyelash extensions or false lashes? Only bridal makeup or bridal party makeup too?

Professional
wedding makeup artists are in the business to make you look sensational in person, fabulous on film and unforgettable in photos, so find one who has quality and quantity of photos for you to see their work, and then ask yourself; is their style and technique what you’re looking for? Don’t hesitate to ask questions about products they use, for references of past clients or even for a discount, especially if you are getting married on a Friday or Sunday, will be paying for your bridal party or simply need to cut costs. Most makeup artists will try to work with your budget if we can, because we not only want your business, but we also want your referrals and to keep you as a client for all your makeup needs.

Whether you hire a
wedding makeup artist who works at a cosmetics counter, or one whose business only caters to brides, rest assured if you do your research, you will find one whose work you’ll love and whose price you can afford. Even doing your own makeup isn’t unheard of these days as long as you use quality products that work well with your skin and the camera, because sometimes what you see in person can photograph much differently. Whether you hire a professional or do it yourself, your wedding will be the only day of your life where your picture will be taken the most, so looking your absolute best is imperative and you don’t want regrets on how you looked. It’s a must for your wedding planning.
